The Home Of Iguana Yachts

Building luxurious, innovative and reliable boats requires cutting-edge production facilities and talented, passionate people.

The Iguana shipyards combine state-of-the-art production facilities with unrivalled quality at every stage of the manufacturing process.

Our manufacturing plant in Caen (Normandy, France) is more than 5,000 square metres and houses the entire production line from part picking and painting to testing and completion.

1 boat is finished each month from our 8 assembly stations and tested to rigorous standards.

The yard was designed to rigorous efficiency criteria and has the capacity to build up to 6 boats at a time.

The production layout is inspired by an island construction model. Each workstation is completely independent.

Once a boat is complete, she can then be moved for final testing without disrupting the other stations.

The unit’s proximity to the sea also facilitates testing and sea trials. And as the goods-inward department is on site, all the incoming materials can be thoroughly checked to ensure everything is to the Iguana Standard.

Once the boat has been sea trialed it is returned to the plant for the engineers to complete final checks before undergoing a second sea trial.

The manufacturing and engineering departments play key roles in ensuring that each yacht is worthy of the Iguana name.

But there is no greater resource at Iguana than the high caliber of artisans and craftsmen who expertly perform their work to the most exacting standards.

Each craftsman is highly skilled with years of experience making the Iguana finish second to none.

Thanks to the connected facility, team members up to date about ongoing all projects and provide personalised, impeccable service to customers.

The Iguana Process

In an age of digital production and automated assembly, we stay committed to creating hand-built, hand-finished boats.

Working with a team of highly experienced designers, engineers and craftsmen with many parts and materials sourced locally within France.

Creating a solid and tenacious boat that can endure all conditions and provide owners with a true no boundaries travel experience.

Each boat is given the final seal of approval by Founder and CEO Antoine Brugidou. Ensuring the brand remains true to its origins of uncompromised boating.

Each leather panel of the Iguana Exclusive is hand stitched.

The Cabin is decked out to the owners personal specifications from woods and veneers to leathers and threads.

Iguana Bespoke audio system is tuned to perfection for all scenarios be it open water running or beach front dining.

The decks are cut to each boat with multiple options available from a rugged finish to traditional teak.

Every element of an Iguana is finished by hand.

The Iguana Foundations

The Iguana was founded on one man’s desire to enjoy boating without constraints. A boat which does not need to be anchored, berthed, or trailered is a boat that can be enjoyed anytime anywhere.

A completely new innovation was born with three top French designers and engineers.

Antoine Brugidou

Top-level engineer (graduated from the prestigious Ecole Centrale Paris) former worldwide executive of the consultancy firm Accenture.

Antoine Fritsch from Fritsch-Durisotti

Specialist in the design of industrial products since 1993 who have worked with some of the biggest international brands.

Tanguy Le Bihan

A rising star of French marine architecture and a name to watch efficient boats with very distinctive lines.

Designed as a boat first with the added benefit of a land drive.

The sleek hull cuts through the waves effortlessly achieving over 45 knots.

The land drive can tackle virtually any terrain – If you can walk on it, the Iguana can embark on it.

The tracks seamlessly conquer inclines of 20% and deliver the ground pressure equivalent to a human being.
