DISCOVER D-DAY BEACHES FOR THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY ABOARD THE IGUANA

This year is a major date in Norman History with the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the Landings of June 6 1944. To follow in the footsteps of this historical event, Label West offers you an opportunity in collaboration with Iguana to discover these places in a unique way. The goal is simple, to allow a lucky few to discover these historic beaches of Normandy but in a way that no one has experienced for 80 years: disembark on the beach thanks to our amphibious boat.

A HISTORICAL EVENT FOR THE NORMANDY REGION

In this year of the 80th anniversary of D-Day, we celebrate with pride the legacy and heroism of this historic event. As a Normandy amphibious boat company, we are deeply rooted in this history, as our boats symbolize the resilience and determination that characterized this operation. These boats were crucial instruments of this mission, facilitating the progress of the troops and contributing to the success of Operation Overlord. Iguana Yachts is proud to help carry on this legacy by providing modern equipment that continues the spirit of innovation. Our legitimacy in this endeavor stems from our deep attachment to our land and its history.

DISCOVER THE BATTLE OF NORMANDY FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

In partnership with Label West, we are delighted to use one of our amphibious boats to travel D-Day beaches

For the itinerary, we have divided the tour into 3 steps to explore the historical heritage of our region.

First step: The tour will start from Arromanches, a town famous for its June 6th museum. You will be offered a snack before departure, and you will meet our historian guide who will accompany us and provide explanations for each place we visit.

Second step: We will head to Pointe du Hoc where we will receive historical explanations to understand the historical significance of the area better. After this visit, we will head to the location where we will have lunch, which marks the halfway point of the day’s tour.

Third step: We will visit Omaha Beach to experience and relive the unique moment thousands experienced 80 years ago. At 5 p.m., we will have a memorial ceremony to pay tribute to the people who lost their lives during the operation. Finally, we will conclude the day with a special visit and return to Arromanches.
