THE IGUANA SUMMER TOUR 2025 AT THE PRIDWIN HOTEL, SHELTER ISLAND

From August 8–10, 2025, the Iguana Summer Tour made a special stop at the historic Pridwin Hotel and Cottages on Shelter Island, NY. We had the pleasure of sharing the Iguana Commuter with its guests. The Pridwin offered the perfect setting for a weekend where boating, lifestyle, and community came together.

A WEEKEND BY THE WATER

The rhythm of summer was alive on Shelter Island.

Mornings began with calm seas and the hum of sailboats in the distance, afternoons unfolded with sea trials right off the Pridwin’s beach, and evenings lingered into golden sunsets. Guests climbed aboard the Iguana Commuter, tried the helm, and discovered firsthand what it means to travel seamlessly from land to sea. Beyond the trials, it was about conversations, laughter, and connecting with people who share the same love for adventure on the water.

HOSPITALITY AT ITS BEST

We could not have asked for a better host, in a beloved waterfront retreat that has welcomed generations of families for nearly 100 years.

The Pridwin, with its timeless charm and incredible views, welcomed us with open arms. From the warmth of the team to the energy of the guests, every detail made this weekend unforgettable.

It was more than a stop on the tour, it felt like being part of a community woven into the spirit of Shelter Island.

THE STAR OF THE SHOW, THE IGUANA COMMUTER

Of course, the spotlight was on the Iguana Commuter

Guests experienced how this amphibious boat blends innovation with comfort: the convertible hard top that transforms with a touch, the private cabin complete with day bed and head, and the effortless transition from sea to shore. On choppy waters, she remained steady and smooth. On land, she rolled up the beach with ease. The Commuter proved herself not only as a luxury tender but also as a vessel that redefines freedom on the water.
