IGUANA YACHTS ACQUIRES WETTONCRAFT

A perfect alliance between the two French shipyards around amphibious boating.

Iguana Yachts announces today the acquisition of the company Wettoncraft with the aim of expanding its offer and providing customers with a range of smaller and more affordable products.

“When I created Iguana Yachts in 2008, the amphibious capability was a personal need. In 15 years, mindsets have evolved and we see more and more boaters who look for amphibious solutions. Amphibious boats facilitate the use and ownership of a boat by being easy to use, store and maintain.

The acquisition of Wettoncraft is part of our deep desire to facilitate access to the sea by generalizing amphibious technologies. Our ambition is to become the world’s number 1 in this new high-potential market. The arrival of Eric Divry, the founder of Wettoncraft, and his teams within our company allows to increase our R&D capacity so as to launch new projects.

We have identified many potential collaborations within the two companies, and we will communicate about those projects during the autumn boat shows.” explains Antoine Brugidou, founder and CEO of Iguana Yachts.

Located in Tourcoing-France, the Wettoncraft workshop will be transferred to Mondeville near Caen at Iguana Yachts headquarters, while an R&D office will be set up in the Lille area.
